yo.

pixel day. just a week away. can you believe it?

the thought of giving an update on my animation suddenly came to mind, and i was like "whos gonna care tho..? oh wait, i will." ive been told that all achievements should be celebrated, whether big or small. so, this post is more for me, saying to myself "look at what you can do!" although, i unfortunately cant say things are getting done as quickly or efficiently as i'd like. but this is the most i've worked on a single project in a (relatively) small amount of time (1 week). so, even if it's small, progress is still progress. and that's big enough for me to celebrate a little by posting this.

so, if you'll stay, here's a quick summary of how my animation'll go: (i also put this picture in my previous post)

basically, stickguy types this message in Fauna's (a vtuber, look her up) chat and his request is fulfilled.

very simple, but for what i'd consider to be my first "finished" animation, starting off small like this is better i'd say. especially cause i've never done pixel animation (or pixel art) before. im also just very inexperienced with animation in general, so bear with future me please. if i had to guess how long the finished product will be, i think it'll end up being almost 30 seconds. but it's still too early to say for sure imo.

on the left side of the image is a simple hair palette that i'll be using for the poster on the right side of the image.

just to give an idea of my inexperience, that gradient inside the poster took me an hour to entirely figure out. my issue was that i kept getting the pixels misaligned when trying to scale the gradient's color.

as for the meaning of the poster itself, it'll be a reference to another artist's work. his name is LimeBreaker, and i love his art and his style. so i when i saw his recent Fauna related works, i wanted to reference one of them (particularly, the only sfw one) by drawing it into stickguy's room. you can see said artwork here. hopefully he'll be cool with it; it's not like i dont plan on crediting him.

here's the only other poster ive got rn.

i intended on this looking like one of those inspirational plaque's you'd hang on your wall ironically, but figured it'd be too much detail that'd take me too long to add in for a project thats got a week left to complete. so i settled for a poster instead.

those outside of Fauna's community will look at this and likely be confused, which is entirely the point of this poster. i'll probably make another post after the animation's out that offers an explanation for each poster or smthn (cause i plan on adding one more poster anyways).

other than those additions, i've added more frames to stickguy movin' around and stuff, but that's far less interesting than the posters so i wont show any more. besides, the more you dont know, the more that'll be kept a surprise.

therefore, that'll be all. thanks for looking here, and i'll see you 'round... hopefully by january 23rd.

(p.s., im very satisfied with my first interaction on ng. tskr.)
